DEMOCRACY OR HYPOCRISY?

With Hope For A Kinder World
What strange bed fellows that's bringing to Iraq democracy
Even with an IQ of "2" you see the hypocrisy

Detainees are tortured and some die in Uzbekistan
Dissidents are detained and elections rigged in Azerbaijan,
No religious freedom and no freedom of press in Eritrea
Starvation, dictatorship and torture exist in North Korea,
Ethnic Minorities suffer, conscription of children in Myanmar
Others just as bad, Ethopia, Uganda and Georgia

America's terrorism act disabled the law of due process
And in Guantanamo Bay what a constitutional mess!
Our self-righteousness, and if others disagree, "they are not with us"!
Puts us in the same enclave as the people we call fanatical despots

American government's condemnation of Al Jazeera satellite
Their tableau of crushed babies is still true, just sad for human sight,
Centuries ago barbarian attacks on Arab sack of Baghdad
Pre-emptive strike and cruelty is neither right nor less sad

The Arab League condemned this Iraqi war
But airspace, land and silent support comes from within their door,
Prime Minister Blair's objectives embodied in Magna Carta with his sincere belief
Sadly, Bush's domination of Iraq and its oil, will bring Tony much grief!
