A MESSAGE TO MY MOM
I
see the writing on the wall
My dreams are going
to fall,
I am trying to prop
it up
But I know, it
wouldn’t stop
It
will come crashing to the ground
With a silent
deafening sound,
But I hope and pray
this day
That God will show
me the way
He
has always been with me
Through life’s
treacherous journey,
So come what may, I
will not retreat
I will not succumb
to defeat
Mom,
I know you found favor with the Lord
And you are in the
presence of our God,
Please Mom, tell
Him I need His hand right now
For humble before
Him, I bow…

Mom, this is eight years now
since you took off in a hurry and crossed the Jordan
River to the hereafter. I so distinctly remember
your every word during our telephone conversation
one day before you departed. I have loved you in
life and in death and to this day, I miss you Mom.
For forty-nine years I didn’t really know you, and
just when I was finding out about you Mom, you left
for the other side. I cherish my memories of you. I
can’t say who still remembers you, that I don’t
know, but I am sure you are cognizant each and every
day of how much you meant to me, and you always
will!
