THE SILENT TRUTH

Truth and God is one and the same

Regardless of one’s nationality or name,

Nothing can be done against the truth

Proven in the story of Boaz and Ruth

 

My human side often gets devoured

When falsehood permeates from the coward,

My spirituality keeps me in place

Rising above reproach or disgrace

 

When untruths are told about me

I remain adamant that God hears and see,

Never confronting the perpetrator

Or trying to be an adjudicator

 

Even when alone with my heart amiss

With God I stand, in this egregiousness,

Even the most conceited and selfish brute

Is no match for “The Silent Truth!”
