MATTERS OF THE HEART
Matters of the heart are the igniting or diminishing of love
Tis melancholy mind becomes purblind from agape above,
Our instinct to believe that human love is absolute certainty
Is futile, for nothing in this world can be perpetuity,
Someone said their predicament is not precarious but a court jester
But should we find Yahweh, we find our everlasting master,
The possession of eros and philos without agape
It's like toiling in labor without ever earning pay,
Whether the eyes see prince or princess that traverse the heart
Perspective for the feeling is necessary, should that love depart,
Wayfarers come into our lives each and every day
Prudence would tell us they are never here to stay,
Churlishly uproarious people are most often difficult
No canticles of heart, epitome is the result,
And paragons of beauty immersing their tresses of gold
Overwhelms the heart, whilst constraining the soul!

"Hebrew and Greek carry very deep meanings, and that was the rationale for their use in this poem."
