FROM SHEPHERD-BOY, TO
"KING"
God said, David "was a man after His own heart."
-
1st Samuel
Chap 13
- Jesse's youngest
son, tending sheep all alone
Knew not his plight that one day, he would sit on the
throne, Doing his duties, and finding time to write about God's
green pastures And how his Lord leadeth him beside still waters
When King Saul became a disappointment in God's sight Samuel, he said! Find me a man, for this new plight, The people sought to find a person with outside appearance When all God wanted, was a heart of repentance
At age 13, unknown to David, he was anointed to be God's
servant But God would excogitate David's role through ardent, His miracles began with a stone from his sling to Goliath's
head With the power of the Lord, this Philistine was certainly
dead
David's coronation came with many trials and tragedy But he was always protected by the Almighty's mercy, For 17-years David suffered at the hands of King Saul, his
adversary David became King and sat on the throne with all of God's
glory
Though this Bethlehemite, David, had God's theophany His human flesh indulged in egregious dishonesty, His Adultery with Bathsheba, Uriah, the Hittite's wife David sent Uriah to the front line where he lost his life
David sinned and sought mercy according to God's loving
kindness Acknowledging to El Shaddai his willful licentiousness, David knew that God took him from the sheepfolds and made
him a great man But this shepherd-boy, that became King, never forgot he was
a fallible human...

Author's Comments:
"[The Russian Poet Boris Pasternak wrote] "It is not
revolutions and upheavals that clear road to new and better
days, but someone's soul inspired and ablaze." There is no
doubt in my mind that Kind David personifies Mr. Pasternak's
remark. It is my prayer and hope that World Leaders today
would again look back at this shepherd-boy's life that
became King, and live out David's sincerity and honesty to
God, copy David's contriteness of heart by acknowledging his
errors, for we cannot hide anything from the one who formed
the "eyes". For if such a reflection would take place by our
Leaders , we would again enjoy the "latter rain" that was
bestowed on humanity, subsequent to Elijah's prayer."
