INTREPID
Gazing at the daffodil
I watch the evening shadows fall,
Wondering where the day has gone
But surely, a new one will be borne

Hopes and dreams are like the days
For they come in many ways,
Truly, life is an unanswered quiz
And I accept it for what it is!

Not knowing what life holds in store
Or who or what would be at my door,
I know not if it would be joy or sorrow
But I know, who holds tomorrow

So, to Him I softly sing
I even hear the Church bells ring,
And all alone I sit at home
Contented, with no desire to ever roam!
