LIFE’S BUFFET

 

God laid a table of succulent dishes
A feast for the eye, satisfying our wishes,
A casserole of hope, a pie of faith
Garnished with love, tempting the palate

Cake of affection, baked with direction
Ice-cream of charity, topped with perfection
Spices of strife, he added to life
Tools of wisdom for carving the ice

A delectable buffet to choose from
Moderation is the key when we’re done,
The world is our plate, ravenously we ate
Overindulging will not satiate!
