SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification begins with regeneration

With the Spirit of God’s participation,

Our wantonness are subdued by mortification

Becoming a well of water through vivification

 

Abounding in good works through perseverance

Culminating in praise and glory from adherence,

Our souls thoroughly purged, are caught up in Heaven

Abstaining from bread with leaven

 

Moving from being a Tree without fruit

God brings to our minds, the precepts and doctrines of truth

His word are heard in the ear and received in the heart

From Almighty God, we never are apart

 

He is now a lamp to our feet and a light to our path

Jesus paid the price for our entire wrath,

And daily, we progress in sound living

By progressing in sound understanding!

True religion is heart-work. We may wash the outside of the cup and the platter as long as we please, but if the inward parts be filthy, we are filthy altogether in the sight of God, for our hearts are more truly ourselves than our hands are; the very life of our being lies in the inner nature, and hence the imperative need of purity within. The pure in heart shall see God; all others are but blind bats.
