WHAT IS A MIRACLE?
To a more loving and peaceful world for our children
A pretty woman with fitted mini-skirt, hair well done, perfect make-up, fancy car, men screaming, how great she looks;
That is not a Miracle
A single Mom, working all day, sacrificing to keep food on the table for her children, with much worries, lays down, but can't sleep;
That is a Miracle
Another single Mom, working two jobs, tired down to the bone, still sacrificing the time, to attend PTA meetings, to find out how her child is doing;
That is a Miracle
Another, Mom, four little children, dinner time, not enough food, she gives them small
portions, she eats none, struggling with pain, but she does not complain;
That is a Miracle
Food Banks, giving a helping hand, people form lines as far as the eyes can see, at the end of the day, they feed everybody;
That is a Miracle
Grandma and Grandpa, at the Pharmacy counter, trying to decide between medication or dinner? they make it home and still find laughter;
That is a Miracle
Our Leaders are not God, but they are responsible for these tragedies, for trillions are spent on war and destruction, when they should first care for their
Nation's population: They are anything and everything, except a Miracle!

Author's Comments:
"The circumstances described in this poem are not
about fiction or some foreign country, it is about the
"truth" of what is happening in our own country, "The United
States of America." We are the most powerful, richest
country on the face of the earth, and yet, millions and
millions of Americans, live in far worse situation as
described in the poem. Within the past two and a half years
more than $300,000,000,000.00 US Dollars have been spent on
this futile expedition. Imagine THREE HUNDRED PLUS BILLION
UNITED STATES DOLLARS SPENT IN A TWO AND A HALF YEAR PERIOD"
and not one penny of this sum has helped the American people
in any manner whatsoever. We are a nation where most of the
population believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and
the Incarnate God. The exit poll showed that 88% of the
people that voted to re-elect the President, voted for him
based on "morality". I too, believe that Jesus Christ is not
just the Son of God, but He is God." So I ask the question,
How do our deeds exemplify Jesus' sermon on the Mount." Feed
the hungry, Take care of the needy, Care for the children."
All the good deeds expounded by our Lord, are we really
doing them to justify how we feel about "morality". I
wonder, just wonder what our Lord thinks about all of this." |
