BIG SIS

Dedicated to my Sister, Salisha Ali

My loving sister I call Big Sis
Much heartache is in her midst,
November 14, 2005 she lost a son
April 3, 2006 she lost another one

How much can she endure, I wonder?
Would her peace only come, up yonder?
Lord, everyday I feel her pain
It is endless, like Noah’s rain

I pray, Lord! Show her a preamble of your plan
For this might help her to understand,
The mysteries of your mercies
In her time of tragedies

Often, she tells me about her son’s last days
With so many tears, I know not what she says,
Sometimes, this life, seems like a mountain too high
And having no respite, I am left to wonder why?

Death is an occurrence that transpires a million times per day, but when it comes your way, words are difficult to say. But by faith, hold on to the hopes on high and you shall see the mansion in the sky.
