CONTEMPLATION OF FRANCISCO
AND ANGELICA
To Francisco and Angelica Navarro
Lord you know the desires of my heart My wife and daughter Lord, we are apart Grant me this request Lord I pray Return me to them Lord, without delay
You have blessed me with a beautiful wife She has become Lord, so important in my life Help me Lord, to make things right Thus I will be with her, every day and night
You have blessed us both, with a daughter too We will raise her Lord, just for you I am here Lord all alone Take me to my daughter's home
Help me prosper Lord, in all my ways So Jessica and Angelica, may be happy every day Give us strength Lord, to live for thee This Lord, is my prayer, hope and plea...

Author's Comments:
"There are many times in our lives God places us in
situations to help others in their time of need. I met
Francisco under what can best be described as one of the
most precarious of predicaments. He was hurting more than he
could stand the pain. We spoke about God and I prayed for
him and his situation. God's grace is the mother and nurse
of all caring. So, for me contemplation is God allowing you
to feel the pain of others which allows you from the very
depth of your heart, to pray or write words, that the person
in pain, cannot otherwise do. This contemplation, was so
derived. I wrote this in 1999 and when I gave it to
Francisco, he broke down in tears. He told me it was every
thing he felt but he just did not know how to express it.
For me, God gets the glory for this. For only when we seek
to see through God's eyes, hear with God's ear and feel with
God's heart, are we able to live out Jesus' words; 'There is
no greater love, than to lay down one's life for another’."
