INELUCTABLE WITH CARCINOMA

"To my Nephew and all those suffering with Cancer"

Knowing of people who have this human Carrion
Our wish for them, perhaps they should not have been born,
But to know a loved one with this carcinomatosis
Words cannot express the pangs, pines and distressfulness

Each passing day family members disaggregate
Futility instilled, they dissimulate,
Hopes, dreams and aspirations fall into attrition
Sanity dissipates; every one is caught in disunion

From whence these diseases came, I ask myself?
It had to be from the pits of hell,
For the families and the victims, the future ineffable
O! How they cry about this penitential debacle

The sufferer's troubles are over at the mortuary
But not before the family achieves penury,
O! Father of grace and giver of light
Save us with your power and all of your might
