BUSH AND JESUS

All of the things Bush says and does

Is that what your Lord Jesus’ teaching was?

Jesus helps the poor and needy

Bush helps those with power and money

 

Though Omni-potent, Jesus help the poor

Bush is arrogant, he will knock down your door,

Jesus hears the people’s cries

Without warrants, on you Bush spies

 

For the sake of war, Bush manipulated and lied

For all of this, on Calvary’s Cross, Jesus died

Bush has placed on the world a heavy burden

Jesus said, “Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden”

 

Now I ask you to think of Bush and Jesus

With a contrite heart, let your conscience discuss

If Jesus did what Bush has done?

Would you close the Gospel and be gone?

“If you would practice my teaching, imitate my life.” The life of Jesus is the exact transcript of perfect virtue; He can point to Himself as the paragon of holiness, as well as the teacher of it. The Christian should take nothing short of Christ for their model. God’s children are the favorite of heaven, the treasure of Christ, the crown of His head, the bracelet of His arm, the breastplate of His heart, the very center and core of His love.
