LITTLE TOMMY CRIES

"To all that pine"
Jack is a Pharmacist, owner of his own Pharmacy
Living with his wife Susan and his son, Tommy, a happy family,
Years before, Jack became a reservist to further his studies
So Susan his wife and their future child, would have no worries

January 2003, Tommy turns six, his parents, they are very happy
Every day - 6pm, Tommy gets excited, shouting my daddy, my daddy,
April 2003, Jack gets called up, his time to go into battle
Tommy doesn't know it, his parents inside, are all rattled

Susan and Tommy says good-bye to Jack before boarding the ship
Tommy starts to cry, daddy says, I will be back before you know it,
Months goes by, Jack is caught up in a post-war battle
Susan gets a letter, Jack wrote, "honey we are in the midst of trouble"

Susan is reading the letter, she begins to cry
Tommy says mommy, please don't cry, daddy loves you and I,
Two months later officers came knocking at Susan's door
We are very sorry, your husband was killed in the war

Officers left, Susan is crying, feeling alone
Tommy rushes inside, mommy, mommy, when is daddy coming home?
Those men in uniform just told me that your daddy has died
Son we are all alone, but I will ask God why?

"['When God delivered Israel out of Egypt, he didn't send an army. We would have sent an army and an orator! But God sent a man who had been in the desert for forty years, and had an impediment in his speech. It is weakness God wants! Nothing is small when God handles it.' DWIGHT L. MOODY] Nations should only go to war, not because they want to, but because there was no other choice, and they had to. Young men and women march into battle with patriotic honor and duty to country, dying every day, and that is the highest of service any nation can ask of its youths, and it is most noble of the soldiers. However, it is shameful when leaders sit on their White House Throne - giving phantasmagoric rationales, as to why other people’s  sons , daughters, fathers and mothers are dying and being maimed. As was said in the movie "Troy";   “War is old men talking and young men and women dying]."
